The Forward Observer gives commanders and team leaders the ability to gain visual input relative to the exact nature of what they're facing and to do it from multiple locations simultaneously.

No longer limited by a camera on a pole the Forward Observer system allows several individuals to look over, around, and under obstacles to determine what weapons or adversaries might be involved in the incident and to determine locations of these opponents in a room or area.

The location of hostages or non-participants can be determined in minutes to develop the best method of entry and if the scene combines possible explosive or other booby traps. The Forward Observer displays the information simultaneously to all team members.

As the team moves forward in complex active entry operations, cameras can be deployed to cover the rear - preventing an enemy from doubling back.

The value of tactical video has been well established as critical to successful operations but the Forward Observer also brings an entire new dimension to video threat mitigation and identification. Cameras can be lowered from roofs on ropes, placed in positions that allow snipers to cover the team, hand or pole held to look around walls, and to operate in the glare of direct sunlight or the total darkness of a corridor without lights.

Where support from other specialties such as bomb squads is involved, the team gets instantaneous feedback as to the nature and danger of a threat and can neutralize or isolate them. In situation where there might be casualties or hostages involved command personnel can dispatch the proper forces to deal with these situations on a real time basis. And where intelligence is critical, the Forward Observer offers a depth of presence that provides a never before available coverage that moves with the teams or covers their backs.
